This week, LEJIN's R&D department held a training session on our newest smart LED chip series.Why spend time training on LED chips? Because they are the heart of smart decorative lighting — every lighting effect comes from this tiny component. Only when our team truly understands the capabilities and limits of each chip can we design solutions that perfectly match real project needs.So here's a quick guide to our new smart light chip lineup.
1. RGB Chip (Classic Model)
A widely used classic. It supports cascade synchronization — multiple sets can be connected to work together. In terms of effects, it can do jumping, chasing, and other dynamic changes, but it does not support brightness gradients, patterns, or text. If your project has simple lighting requirements, this chip is an economical choice.
2. New Chip 1 (Budget-Friendly, Pre‑programmed)
The biggest advantage is its low price. Unlike the RGB chip, it supports normal brightness gradients for richer visuals. Before shipment, we can pre‑program customized effects — flowing water, chasing, patterns, text — directly into the chip. The trade‑off is that clients cannot modify effects after receiving the product. It can control up to 1,600 decorative lighting chips at a time, making it suitable for small to medium‑sized projects.
3. New Chip 2 (Flexible, On‑site Re‑programmable)
Same as Chip 1, it supports brightness gradients and can be customized with various effects. The key difference: it supports on‑site re‑programming — clients can modify the lighting effects based on actual needs after delivery. The control limit is 16,000 chips, ideal for small to medium projects that require flexibility.
4. New Chip 3 (Flagship for Large Projects)
This is our flagship chip and the most stable performer in the entire smart lighting lineup. Its core advantages:
· No brightness drop over long runs – Large projects often run for weeks or months. Ordinary chips lose brightness; Chip 3 stays consistent.
· Finer brightness gradients – Smoother transitions, more premium visuals.
· User re‑programmable – Clients can change lighting styles and effects on‑site anytime – no need to return to the factory.
· No upper limit on chip control – The key differentiator. Whether it's a 10,000+ m² commercial street or a large cultural tourism project requiring tens of thousands of chips, one system covers it all.
